Update Race Information

Reindeer Run 5K & Kids Race 2013

The Race begins at 8:30 AM.


Beneficiary:


A portion of all proceeds will go to The Strong. The Strong is a highly interactive, collections-based educational institution devoted to the study and exploration of play. It carries out this mission through five programmatic arms called Play Partners. These are the National Museum of Play, the International Center for the History of Electronic Games, the National Toy Hall of Fame, the Brian Sutton-Smith Library and Archives of Play, and the American Journal of Play.


Course description:


The 5K course will start by the inner loop and end at The Strong. A large portion of the course will be on the Inner Loop. There will be one water stop on the course near the midway point. Map forthcoming.


Registration / Packet Pickup


Available at both Fleet Feet Sports Locations (2210 Monroe Ave, Rochester, NY 14618 OR 2522 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY 14626) on Thursday, December 12th and Friday, December 13th from 10-7PM.


You can also register at both Fleet Feet Sports locations starting soon!


Includes:


  • Chip Timing by YellowJacket Racing
  • Reindeer Antlers to first 1000 registrants and kids run participants
  • Cotton T-Shirts to all participants registered by 12/1 and the next 200 registrants
  • Post Race food provided by Subway
  • Free entry to The Strong on Race Day (12/14/13) with your Reindeer Run 5K or Kids Race bib.
  • 50% off admission to The Strong with your race bib 12/15/13-12/31/13

Race Awards:


Awards will be given to the top 3 overall Male and Female finishers as well as top 3 in the following age groups.


Age Groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & Over.


The fastest Male and Female Reindeer (must be wearing Reindeer antlers the whole race) across the line will also recieve prizes.


Costume Contest:


Embrace your inner child and come dressed as your favorite toy/doll. The three best costumes will receive prizes.
