Hilton Head Firecracker Run

The 5K (3.1 miles) Hilton Head Firecracker 5000 course starts and finishes in front of Shelter Cove Community Park and takes participants through the fast and flat roads around Shelter Cove Harbour.

The festive post-race celebration features music, fresh fruit, ice cold refreshments, door prizes and more. A percentage of proceeds from the event benefits: The Hilton Head Rotary Club and the Hilton Head Runners Club. "

Race Packet Pick Up and Late Registration
Wednesday July 3 ( location & times coming soon ) Race Day.. Shelter Cove Community Park from 6:30 - 7:30am.

PERFORMANCE ( tech ) SHIRTS TO ALL.... The first 1400 adult participants will receive tech t-shirt.

Cotton for late registration

KIDS 12 & UNDER before 6/29 and pay only $25 - cotton shirt only - $5 late fee after 6/29

SORRY - no pets, strollers or baby joggers.


The 28th HHI Firecracker 5000 Road Race and Fun Walk will be held on Wed., July 4 at 8:00am behind the Mall at Shelter Cove at Shelter Cove Community Park. The Firecracker 5000, is the largest and oldest road race in Beaufort County and one of the top 10 races in SC. Over 1500 runners and walkers are expected.

The 2013 event will be chip timed.

The course should be same as last year however construction at the Mall may cause us to make a few adjustments.
