4th Annual, Run with the Cops, not from Them!

Historic Belle Isle!!!

Corner of Vista Drive and The Strand! Views of the international waterway and Canada. Parking along The Strand. Please don't block the flow of traffic. Larger signage will be provided as you come onto the island.

About Us!

The For a Day Foundation (FADF) is hosting their 4th Annual "Run with the Cops, not from Them!" charity fundraiser, on Historic Belle Isle. The FADF is a nationally registered 501(c)(3) charity that provides quality of life services to children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses in the metro-Detroit area. Last year, the FADF provided parties and special events for over 600 children! All proceeds will be used to help these patients feel like kids!

2013 Race Info!

Last year, 650 registered participants raced during a beautiful race day and we hope you can join us this year. Scheduled to kick start the event will be Interim Detroit Police Chief Chester L. Logan (tentatively), with special appearances from Detroit's Special Response Team, Bomb Squad, Dive Team, and Mounted Unit.

Course Info!

1 Mile fun run/walk- 9:30am; 5k and 10k race-10:00am (timing chipped). Both 5k and 10k are USATF Certified and Governor's Council on Physical Fitness Endorsed. It's a flat, fast course for a good personal record!

All participants will receive a t-shirt and water/snacks after the race.

Medals!

5k: Overall Male & Overall Female; Masters Overall Male & Masters Overall Female (40 and over)....10k: Overall Male & Overall Female; Masters Overall Male & Masters Overall Female (40 and over)....5k & 10k: 3 medals deep, both genders in 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 & Up!!!

Registration!

5k and 10k-USATF certified, timing chip-$30/person. 1 mile Fun Run/Walk, race clock-$20/person. All registrations after 4/1/2012 are $35/person. Day of registrations are $35/person. Shirts are not guaranteed for "day of" registrants, however, we will try out best to provide you with one. DAY OF REGISTRATIONS ACCEPTED!!! $35/all events-day of. Shirt not guaranteed, so show up early!!!

Group rates!

5 runners/walkers or more gets $5 off per registrant! You MUST provide a team name that matches other registrants. Once you have selected your event in the gray box below, proceed to the second gray box and check the box verifying you are joining a team!
