Update Race Information

Run for the Gold 5K

The Run for the Gold begins at 8:30 am with the 1-mile starting shortly after. The 5k is chipped time and the course is a USATAF sanctioned course. Each participant will receive a goody bag and a nice athletic style t-shirt. We have entertainment and prizes planned for our event. Every year we feature the Jazz Alliance as our live band performing and several local businesses come to support and hand out goodies to the participants. We have 1st and 2nd male and female overall winners and 1st and 2nd age group category winners.

We also award in masters categories, 1st and 2nd place male and female. The last two years we have attracted over 200 runners and hundreds of spectators and this year hope to have over 300 runners. It is a fast, but challenging course and it is USA Track and Field certified.
The 3rd Annual Run for the Gold 5k and 1-mile Run/Walk supports the Mt. Juliet High School Marching Band Program. By registering and participating in our 5K you not only support the program as a whole, but, have the opportunity to support an individual band member by listing their name on your registration form. Thank you so much for helping us achieve our goals and supporting our students.
