2014 Herring Run Classic 5K Run and Walk

This is a great low-key race which travels olong the herring run river (Town Brook)in Plymouth!

Every year around the third week in April, herring make their way up the narrow rivers and tributaries from the ocean to spawn. Plymouth has one of the most active herring run rivers around. Runners will get the chance to "run where the herring run" on April 19th, 2014. 

This race was originally held starting in 2007, and went on for 1 more year before organizers threw in their very wet towels after bad rain.

Then, this year it was reborn with a great sunshiny day!

About the course: The course is a mixed dirt and pavement course which follows the exact river where the herring run each spring. It's scenic and moderately hilly.
