Pinwheel 5K Run & 5K Elite Fitness Challenge

The Pinwheel 5K Run; One Mile Run/Walk; Kid?s Dashes; Registration starts for all events at 7:00 am. EARLYRegistration: Packet and bib pick up at Fit2Run Race Headquarters (University Center; next to Lee Roy Selmon's)during store hours April 13th - 18th.8:30 am. Kid's Dashes Feature races for children of all ages: The 3-4 year olds run 100 meters; 5-6 year olds run 200 meters; 7-9 year olds run 400 meters; 10-12 year olds run 800 meters. All children receive a crafted finisher's medal, goodie bag, shirt, and their own numbered bib. Top three M/F finishers' in each heat receive custom trophies. 8:45 am. Kid's Fitness Challenge Event for children 12 and under. Select fitness challenge geared for children. All children receive a crafted finisher's medal, goodie bag, shirt, and their own numbered bib. Top three boy/girl finishers in each age heat receive custom trophies. 9:30 am. Pinwheel Run Chip timed 3.1 mile run up and around the beautiful Rowing Center lake with magnificent scenic views, water stop, and finishes on the Athlete Island to a great post race party. Strollers are OK and if running with a Dog please use a non retractable leash. Both must start at the back of the pack however chip timed. Dogs can wear the chip. 9:35 am.

One-Mile Fitness Run/Walk Up and back by the Rowing Center Lake 10:00 am. Elite Fitness Competition- 5K sponsored by area CrossFit facilities which includes stationchallenges. Guaranteed to test your fitness levels. Awards: Top M/F finishers receive $150 Fit2Run gift certificate. All winners in their respective age groups receive beautiful handcrafted award tiles. Categories include M/F Masters, Grand Masters, Sr. Grand Masters, and Veterans. Then age groups three deep 9 and under, 10 to 14, 15-19, and five year age groups to 80+. Results posted on www.coolrunning.com . Elite Fitness Challenge awards to thetop M/F finishers in open Masters & Grand Masters divisionsGreat Party: Great after party with refreshments from the ROC Group and adult beverages with proper I.D. Non registered guests can purchase a wrist band for ($5.00) and receive food and beverages.Family Partnership Center (FPC) mission is to strengthen families and prevent child abuse, in at risk families, through comprehensive parenting education and support programs. Pinwheel: a national symbol for child abuse prevention; that prevention works; represents our desire for hope, health andsafety of children everywhere.


A great morning of events to benefit Family Partnership Center. We will be having a traditional 5K Run (chip timed), One Mile Run/Walk, and Kids Dashes. We will also be having a 5K Elite Fitness Challenge in partnership with Cross Fit Lakewood Ranch, Cross Fit Bradenton and Cross Fit Sarasota.
