Set a Date
No matter if it is your first 5K race or your hundredth, when you register for a 5K race it will keep you motivated and on task to reach your goal of running a successful 5K race. By actually setting up a date on your calendar, you pinpoint the time that you have to be ready to step on that starting line of your 5K race.
Prepare a training schedule immediately after booking your 5K race. New runners should begin with light training and build into a longer running routine.
In honor of National Recovery Month, Aid in Recovery invites you to celebrate sobriety. Join friends and family at our 2nd Annual Run for Recovery. This 5K Fun Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk will take place along the trails of the beautiful John Prince Memorial Park, overlooking Lake Osbourne, in Lake Worth, FL. Aside from the beautiful scenery of the 3.1 mile race, you will have fans cheering you on as you accomplish your goal. The race is open to ALL, walk, run, or skip to the finish line! The certified course will include water stations along the way. Post-Race festivities include music, food, refreshments, inflatable obstacle course, water slide, and awards! The event is Saturday, September 16, 2017. Last year we had 150 participants and we expect this year to bigger! Come join us a sunny South Florida day to celebrate sobriety, recovery, and the wonderful feeling of sober living! 100% of proceeds will benefit Rebel Recovery to provide Peer Recovery Support Services in Palm Beach County.
