Set a Date
No matter if it is your first 5K race or your hundredth, when you register for a 5K race it will keep you motivated and on task to reach your goal of running a successful 5K race. By actually setting up a date on your calendar, you pinpoint the time that you have to be ready to step on that starting line of your 5K race.
Prepare a training schedule immediately after booking your 5K race. New runners should begin with light training and build into a longer running routine.

Come have a BLAST with us! You will run, walk, or skip your way through 5 color zones where we'll cover you in color. Have a blast as you are turned into a human canvas. When you finish your race, get ready for the color dance party with our awesome DJs and fun giveaways. Bring your friends & family to party with you!

The event will begin at 12:30 PM.
We will release "mini waves" every few minutes until everyone has crossed the start line. For everyone's safety, we ask faster runners to line up closer to the front of the start corral, then followed by run/walkers, walkers, and those with strollers toward the back. ?
Packet pick up will be at the run. Gates open and check-in begins at 11:30 AM.

Take I-75 to University Pkwy and go West. Turn South on N Cattleman Rd, Pass through 3 traffic circles. The Park will be on the right just South of the Town Center. Look for the signs.
WHAT YOU GET
All participants receive a t-shirt (Youth and Adult sizes), awesome finisher medal, 1 color pack, and entry to the post-race dance party with music, entertainment, food, great vendors and a fun family atmosphere.
FREE, unlimited photo downloads after the event! We will have our team of photographers roaming the race course to catch all the action. $2 surcharge, required at registration, applies. IMPORTANT: Remember your bib # and wear it on your front, you will need it to search for your photos online after the run. It is up to YOU to remember your bib #, we do not keep record of it.
11 years old & up $35 - $60
6-10 years old $20 with adult registration -ALL swag included
5 and under FREE (NO SWAG or RACE BIB) – Registration not required.
Virtual Run - $15 Can't make it to race day but still want the t-shirt & medal? Run a 5k when and where you want (no need to submit any proof, we trust you!) and after race day, we will send you an official 5k Color Blast medal and t-shirt!
Spectators are free.
Wear WHITE for the maximum color effect!
Sunglasses and bandana are recommended
Color powder is non toxic colored corn starch
Coolers for refreshments will be allowed (no glass containers, please)
Parking is $5 cash per car and is collected by Nathan Benderson Park.
You will run on the trails around the lake.
Note: this is a fun run and the course is not a certified 5K and is not officially timed. We approximate the distance based on terrain and accessibility. The course is a little longer than 5K. It is 3.5 miles instead of 3.1 miles/5 kilometers.
Jogging strollers and large wheel strollers will be fine on the course. We advise against small wheel strollers. You may consider covering your stroller with sheets or towels to prevent the color powder from staining the fabric.
Take the FUN RUN CHALLENGE!
Run both The 5k Color Blast and The 5k Zombie Run in the same day.
Add registration to The 5k Zombie Run for $20.
The 5k Zombie Run will be held at the same location in the morning preceding The 5k Color Blast.
All FUN RUN CHALLENGE participants earn a THIRD special "challenge" medal!
2nd event must be added at registration before you checkout.
We have several volunteer opportunities.
Clubs, school groups, and organizations can volunteer during the event. Have a group that would like to volunteer? Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for availability.
Individuals can volunteer for pre-event setup help. Please begin your registration to see available shifts, descriptions of duties and to self register. Pre-event volunteers will earn a free entry to the run.
In addition, we are looking for photographers, and a videographer/editor. Please email us at email@example.com
NO REFUND POLICY
We cannot issue refunds. The cost and logistics of setting up and planning the event make refunds impossible. The run will take place rain or shine, however please understand we are at the mercy of mother nature and county officials, so if conditions deteriorate to the point of becoming an unsafe environment for our participants, we will react accordingly. Safety will always take precedence.
In the event a race is postponed or rescheduled, your registration will be honored at a future event. A postponement/reschedule would only happen due to an event outside of our control (i.e., dangerous weather, acts of God...).
If you find that you are unable to use your registration, we are happy to transfer it to another person, to a future event, or donate your fee to our charitable partner, oneblood (formerly Florida Blood Services). You must email us PRIOR to the event at info@The5kColorBlast.com for transfers.
