Avoid Skipping Recovery

Listening to your body is key to avoiding injury and burnout. Your body can actually grow stronger when you are at rest. The process of training includes workouts that are strategically placed along with rest days, which provides stimulation during the activity and recovery when you are at rest. If you are new to running, it is important not to push yourself to hard. Injuries can pop up when training advances too quickly. If your body is giving you warning signs, listen and take the extra time off so you can fully adjust and recover to meet your specific fitness needs.

Olustee Blue Grey 5k

The Olustee Blue Grey 5k is an annual event held to help commemorate the Olustee Battle. The 5k is held in conjunction with the Olustee Festival and Battle Reinactment. Step Fitness Race Management is proud to be the official race management company of this event. We have partnered with the CHS Cross Country Team and look forward to building a strong relationship with them. All proceeds from the Olustee Blue Grey 5k will benefit Colubia High Cross Country. Please contact Michelle Richards 386-208-2447 if your would be interested in joining this awesome team to help build awareness of health and fitness  in and around North Florida. Your contributions will also benefits many athletes in the CHS Cross Country program.

Race willl start at 7am at the Lake Area by Darby Pavilion. Lake Desoto is located directly behing the courthouse in Lake City. Race will start promptly at 7am.
