Set a Date
No matter if it is your first 5K race or your hundredth, when you register for a 5K race it will keep you motivated and on task to reach your goal of running a successful 5K race. By actually setting up a date on your calendar, you pinpoint the time that you have to be ready to step on that starting line of your 5K race.
Prepare a training schedule immediately after booking your 5K race. New runners should begin with light training and build into a longer running routine.
Join us at the Highlands Family YMCA on March 17, 2018. Options are for adult novice, pee-wee youth, junior youth, and senior youth. Racers will enjoy their swim in a heated pool, bike in the Harder Hall neighborhood, and run on Max Long Sports Complex property! Junior and Senior racers must be a USAT member, which is apart of this registration! There are no refunds for this race.
Register BEFORE 03/05/18 to guarantee race shirt! If you register on 03/05 or after, leftover shirts will be given out 1 week after race on first come, first serve basis. Just ask at pickup!! I want ALL racers to wear their awesome shirts:) Sign up early to make things easier :)
Please learn the course!! Here are step by step directions for the long course, Senior and Adult. Leave Max Long Drive and turn L onto Westminster Rd. Turn R onto Gowen, Turn Left onto Lakehaven BLVD. Make a U turn at the END of Lakehaven BLVD at the cone and dead end. Take Lakehaven BLVD to Krouse and Turn L. Turn Left onto Higson Rd. Make a U turn just before Dozier. Take Higson back to Krouse, Turn R. Take Krouse to Westminster and Turn Left. Return back to Max Long Drive
Juniors use same route to a turnaround on Lakehaven BLVD just before the u-turn for Seniors. Juniors make a u-turn at Lakehaven BLVD and Agora. From the turnaround, take Lakehaven BLVD to Krouse and turn RIGHT. Krouse to Westminster and return to transition.
