Tip Of The Day

Set a Date

No matter if it is your first 5K race or your hundredth, when you register for a 5K race it will keep you motivated and on task to reach your goal of running a successful 5K race. By actually setting up a date on your calendar, you pinpoint the time that you have to be ready to step on that starting line of your 5K race.

Prepare a training schedule immediately after booking your 5K race. New runners should begin with light training and build into a longer running routine.

Pensacola's Run for the Cookies

The 8th Annual Run for the Cookies takes place on a scenic loop trail during the onset of spring. It starts at UWF’s Multipurpose field and loops through the trees, winding down the road and back to the field. There are two major hills and a few turns as the course follows the scenery through the wooded trails of UWF. On the plush grass of the multipurpose field, you finish the race with a loop and cross the finish line. The event also includes a post-race snack and an awards ceremony with a DJ. This run is the only race in Pensacola where you can get a box of Girl Scout for participating. Last year’s race almost sold out, so with this year’s 350-participant limit register early to ensure a spot!
