Set a Date
No matter if it is your first 5K race or your hundredth, when you register for a 5K race it will keep you motivated and on task to reach your goal of running a successful 5K race. By actually setting up a date on your calendar, you pinpoint the time that you have to be ready to step on that starting line of your 5K race.
Prepare a training schedule immediately after booking your 5K race. New runners should begin with light training and build into a longer running routine.
The 2018 Green Feet 5k is set in the lovely town of Oneonta, Alabama. A first of it's kind, the Green Feet 5K will take place on the course of Heritage Golf, a diverse and moderately difficult course. More than just your flat course, Heritage offers runners the opportunity to challenge yourself on a hilly and winding course. Benefitting the Blount County Special Olympics, 100% of the proceeds will go directly to ensuring the special needs residents of Blount County have the most amazing and rewarding Olympics possible. Your participation will help raise the Special Olympic's budget from a mere $500 to hopefully one of $3,000, plus! We look forward to having you in Oneonta for this special and fun event.
Don't forget to dress up...it's St. Patrick's day after all!
