Set a Date
No matter if it is your first 5K race or your hundredth, when you register for a 5K race it will keep you motivated and on task to reach your goal of running a successful 5K race. By actually setting up a date on your calendar, you pinpoint the time that you have to be ready to step on that starting line of your 5K race.
Prepare a training schedule immediately after booking your 5K race. New runners should begin with light training and build into a longer running routine.
What: A 1 mile or 5 km run or walk at Riverfront Park. The event benefits Blue Creek School PTA. Please click on "special pricing" to get kid's discount. Register by March 30th for best pricing, and to guarantee a t-shirt.
Packet Pick-Up: Friday 4/20, 4-6:00 pm at the Black Bunker at Briarwood Clubhouse; or Saturday 4/21, 8:30 am - 9:30 am at Riverfront Park, covered picnic area South of the lake. Please arrive before 9:30 am to pick up packets.
Safety: NO dogs or bikes allowed for safety. Baby joggers welcome, but please take care to stay out of runners' way.
Parking: Park in a parking spot or along the roadways inside Riverfront Park.
Spaghetti Dinner: There will be a spaghetti dinner fundraiser the night before the race! Sponsored by the Blue Creek Foundation for funding "Project Lead the Way" classroom projects, dinner is from 6-8 pm at the Black Bunker at Briarwood Clubhouse.
