Avoid Skipping Recovery
Listening to your body is key to avoiding injury and burnout. Your body can actually grow stronger when you are at rest. The process of training includes workouts that are strategically placed along with rest days, which provides stimulation during the activity and recovery when you are at rest. If you are new to running, it is important not to push yourself to hard. Injuries can pop up when training advances too quickly. If your body is giving you warning signs, listen and take the extra time off so you can fully adjust and recover to meet your specific fitness needs.
Come help support students in Immokalee by signing up for the Lipman 5K Run For Backpacks. All proceeds from this event benefit the Lipman Backpack Giveaway in August. Runners and walkers are welcome!
Registration on race day begins at 6:30am. The race will begin promptly at 8:00am. The free Jr. Fun Run is for kids 10 & under will begin at 9:00am
Pre-registration is $30 and $25 for groups of two or more. Students are $20. Race day registrations will be $35.
Registration includes a t-shirt, race bib, timing chip, and refreshments and a prize for competitors.
Awards will be given to the overall male and female winners in every age category and to the Jr Fun Run participants.

There will not be a pre-race packet pickup for this event. All race materials (t-shirts, bibs, etc) will be available on the morning of the race.
