Avoid Skipping Recovery
Listening to your body is key to avoiding injury and burnout. Your body can actually grow stronger when you are at rest. The process of training includes workouts that are strategically placed along with rest days, which provides stimulation during the activity and recovery when you are at rest. If you are new to running, it is important not to push yourself to hard. Injuries can pop up when training advances too quickly. If your body is giving you warning signs, listen and take the extra time off so you can fully adjust and recover to meet your specific fitness needs.

Event: 4.4K Run - 11:04 a.m. SATURDAY BEFORE MEMORIAL DAY.
Location: The race will be run on paved streets inside the J. Phil Campbell Station at 1420 Government Station Road, Watkinsville, GA. This is the location of the Oconee County Extension Office.
Entry Fee: $20 early registration NLT 5/12/18 includes shirt. Preregistration no shirt option $16. $20 race day registration/late registration -does not include shirt!
Registration: - Beginning at 9:44 am - don’t come early - we will be out running in Monroe. However, if you get there early, set up some tables for registration.
Awards: Points in Clover Glove, Black Bag and the Run and See GA Series. American Flag for Overall winner. All the rest just get water and bananas.
