Set a Date
No matter if it is your first 5K race or your hundredth, when you register for a 5K race it will keep you motivated and on task to reach your goal of running a successful 5K race. By actually setting up a date on your calendar, you pinpoint the time that you have to be ready to step on that starting line of your 5K race.
Prepare a training schedule immediately after booking your 5K race. New runners should begin with light training and build into a longer running routine.
Race the Bay - Half Marathon and 5k takes place at SunWest park on December 2, 2018. This out and back course will take you past natural Florida landscape, beautiful waterways, and quaint towns. The course is mostly flat with a small paved bridge along the route. 95% of the course is paved road with approximately 1 mile hard lime rock surface. The event will culminate in post-race beach party at SunWest with music, food, and more, including the country's largest inflatable water obstacle course and white sandy beaches to relax on all afternoon.
Each finisher of the Half Marathon will receive a custom designed Bourbon and Bowties Half Marathon Coin Bracelet, Dry-Tec Shirt, Goodie Bag, and Custom Designed Medal.
5k finishers will receive a T-shirt, Goodie Bag, and Finisher Medal.
Registration is limited to 1000 participants, so register early to ensure a place at Race the Bay 2018.
The pre-race expo and packet pickup will take place at Classical Prep (12836 Shady Hills Rd, Spring Hill, FL) on Saturday December 1st from 9:00 – 4:00. This family friendly expo is complete with food, bounce houses, touch-a-truck, and of course, vendors. Come out and get prepped for Race the Bay.
