Set a Date
No matter if it is your first 5K race or your hundredth, when you register for a 5K race it will keep you motivated and on task to reach your goal of running a successful 5K race. By actually setting up a date on your calendar, you pinpoint the time that you have to be ready to step on that starting line of your 5K race.
Prepare a training schedule immediately after booking your 5K race. New runners should begin with light training and build into a longer running routine.
It's that time again to dust off your running shoes, grab a protein bar and join us in raising money to bring joy to children touched by cancer. Inspired by Ella Tosch who lost her battle in September of 2015 but remains in all of our hearts, we'll be loading up our own Family Truckster and paying Children's Hospital and The Ronald McDonald House of Detroit a couple of visits during the sweltering days of summer.
Registration for the 5K is $25 but everyone is welcome. Whether you plan on running to beat your personal best time or walking with or without your little ones, maybe to get your steps in, it promises to be a good time.
So make sure to mark your calendars and start hydrating! We'll help you carb-load prior to the race with bagels and protein bars and cool you down upon your return with some of Connor's famous lemonade, summer cucumber salad, hot dogs of course and a few other surprises. Plus, there'll be prizes for the winners, a raffle and an abundance of good karma! This cause is very special to us and we cannot thank our family and friends enough for all of their support.
Make sure to arrive early enough to check in and stretch. We don't want any pulled hammies out there!
