Avoid Skipping Recovery

Listening to your body is key to avoiding injury and burnout. Your body can actually grow stronger when you are at rest. The process of training includes workouts that are strategically placed along with rest days, which provides stimulation during the activity and recovery when you are at rest. If you are new to running, it is important not to push yourself to hard. Injuries can pop up when training advances too quickly. If your body is giving you warning signs, listen and take the extra time off so you can fully adjust and recover to meet your specific fitness needs.

Join the Krewe du YaYas' at our 6th Annual I Pink I Can Run 4 miler run walk for breast cancer. 

Great course, food, swag, fun, after-party and cause!!

 *****The first 500 to register are guaranteed a great tech shirt!! *****

All proceeds from this event benefit The Keeping Abreast Foundations' mammography and breast health programs.

Distance: 4 mile out and back course

9 am start

 

Please note: Online registration closes on Tuesday, Feb 19th, 2019 at 5pm. 

**Registration rate goes up to $35 at packet pick-up and race day. 

 

Packet Pickup Info (tentative schedule)

 Thursday, February 21st– TBD : Pensacola 4p – 7p

 Friday, February 22nd – Flora-Bama Lounge Time: 5pm – 7:30pm

 Same day registration and packet pick-up: 7:00 am -8:30 am 

 

 

****TO BE CONSIDERED A WALKER, YOU MUST NOT RUN AT ANY TIME DURING THE RACE.*****

 

Awards:

Top male and female Overall, Masters, Grandmasters, and Senior Grandmasters.

Top three male and female in age groups: 9 and under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-99.

Top 3 breast cancer survivors: runners and walkers.

Top 5 male/female WALKERS.

 

 Parking is limited. Please arrive early!

****Pets are NOT allowed on the course.  Furthermore, dogs/pets are not allowed  for volunteers, spectators, and participants ?in the start and finish areas of an event. This is a liability issue. Thank you for respecting this policy. ****
