Avoid Skipping Recovery

Listening to your body is key to avoiding injury and burnout. Your body can actually grow stronger when you are at rest. The process of training includes workouts that are strategically placed along with rest days, which provides stimulation during the activity and recovery when you are at rest. If you are new to running, it is important not to push yourself to hard. Injuries can pop up when training advances too quickly. If your body is giving you warning signs, listen and take the extra time off so you can fully adjust and recover to meet your specific fitness needs.

Cooper River Bridge Run KIDS RUN

THE KIDS RUN & WONDERFEST- FRIDAY, APRIL 5, 2019

The Cooper River Bridge Run Kids Run and Wonderfest invite you to beautiful Hampton Park in Charleston the day before the “ big Bridge Run”. Events for the Kids will range from short distances up to a mile. In addition there will be a great party in the Park with fabulous activities, foods and drinks! “T-Bone” will be here to again lead everybody in making fitness fun!

 

The addition, WONDERFEST will bring a multitude of new activities to the Kids Run including child entrepreneurs displaying their products, children entertainers and musical acts, top national toy manufacturers displaying the summer’s hottest toys, a Wonder Works toy play zone with the store’s most popular toys, games and gadgets, and a free toy for every child in attendance.

 

*Kid’s Run bib cannot be used for the Cooper River Bridge Run ON
Saturday, April 6.

SCHEDULE:

KIDS FESTIVAL 12 PM – 6 PM
Face Painting, Mask Making, Jump Castle and Slide, Mad Science, Caricatures, Rec Ground Games, Petting Zoo, Pony Rides, Food Vendors, Singing
Packet Pick-up/Late registration: 12 PM – 4:30 PM (note: long wait time for late registration, early registration is advised)
WARM UP & SHOW with T-Bone 4pm-5pm
KIDS RACE
Parents/guardians are encouraged to accompany kids in all events.
