Avoid Skipping Recovery

Listening to your body is key to avoiding injury and burnout. Your body can actually grow stronger when you are at rest. The process of training includes workouts that are strategically placed along with rest days, which provides stimulation during the activity and recovery when you are at rest. If you are new to running, it is important not to push yourself to hard. Injuries can pop up when training advances too quickly. If your body is giving you warning signs, listen and take the extra time off so you can fully adjust and recover to meet your specific fitness needs.

Travel Country Outfitters presents the 8th Annual RunYak multi discipline event located at Secret Lake Park in Casselberry FL. The paddle portion of the event can be either a kayak OR a stand up paddleboard! 2.3K run, 3K Paddle and another 2.3K run RunYak LogoAt Secret Lake Park in the heart of Casselberry on August 18th, 2018, at 8 am. Join the City of Casselberry, Friends of the Park and the Travel Country Outfitters for our Eigth Annual Secret Lake RunYak. This family friendly race will feature a 2.3 K Run, 3K Paddle and end with another 2.3 K Run. We structured this race so it would be fun for all fitness levels. Solo Participants: You must bring your own kayak or paddleboard, paddle and PFD.. Team Division sold out in 2017. Be sure to regisiter early! Each participant can receive an event T-shirt and swag bag from Travel Country Outfitters. This event will be held at Secret Lake Park, nestled in the heart of Casselberry, FL.
