Avoid Skipping Recovery

Listening to your body is key to avoiding injury and burnout. Your body can actually grow stronger when you are at rest. The process of training includes workouts that are strategically placed along with rest days, which provides stimulation during the activity and recovery when you are at rest. If you are new to running, it is important not to push yourself to hard. Injuries can pop up when training advances too quickly. If your body is giving you warning signs, listen and take the extra time off so you can fully adjust and recover to meet your specific fitness needs.

Bataan Memorial Race

As the Norwin Air Force JROTC, we are hosting a charity walk/run at the Little Boston Trail along the Greater Allegheny Passage on March 30, 2019. Registration will begin at 8AM. There are three options for participants: 5K walk/run 10K walk/run Half marathon walk/run 14 mile walk/run (JROTC cadets will receive the Bataan Death March ribbon) Registration prices are on the website and will include a BMR T-shirt and a BMR goodie bag. The address of the event is 1910 Donner Street Boston, PA 15135 GOAL: Raise $8,000 for the Operation Finally Home charity in memory of those who risked their lives in the Bataan Death March during WWII.
