Avoid Skipping Recovery

Listening to your body is key to avoiding injury and burnout. Your body can actually grow stronger when you are at rest. The process of training includes workouts that are strategically placed along with rest days, which provides stimulation during the activity and recovery when you are at rest. If you are new to running, it is important not to push yourself to hard. Injuries can pop up when training advances too quickly. If your body is giving you warning signs, listen and take the extra time off so you can fully adjust and recover to meet your specific fitness needs.

No Luck Run

St. Paddy’s day celebrations make for perfect opportunities to dress up like a crazy Leprechaun and hit the streets running! The No Luck Irish Run is excited to return to Indy on March 17, 2019! The race offers a Half Marathon, 5k, and Kid’s Dash-a distance for all abilities and ages! All athletes will receive a comfy locally printed “No Luck Run” Hoodie. Not only will you have a blast running with hundreds of Leprechauns through the streets of Plainfield, but you should be equally excited that a portion of every single entry goes directly back into Hendricks County to battle hunger! In addition to the shirt, and “charity challenge” all athletes receive a free finisher beer from Stacked Pickle our event hosts. All athletes will also receive a Custom Die Cast No Luck Irish Run Finisher Medal! Be sure to register now and reserve your spot on the starting line for this years No Luck Irish Run! Together we will raise Thousands of dollars truly running “Miles for Meals!”
