Avoid Skipping Recovery

Listening to your body is key to avoiding injury and burnout. Your body can actually grow stronger when you are at rest. The process of training includes workouts that are strategically placed along with rest days, which provides stimulation during the activity and recovery when you are at rest. If you are new to running, it is important not to push yourself to hard. Injuries can pop up when training advances too quickly. If your body is giving you warning signs, listen and take the extra time off so you can fully adjust and recover to meet your specific fitness needs.

Diversity Center's 17th Annual Walk, Rock & Run

The Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio, Presenting Sponsor Medical Mutual of Ohio, and Run Sponsor Lincoln Electric, invite you to #WalkTogether at our 17th Annual Walk, Rock, and Run, on Saturday, May 4, 2019. This family-friendly community event features a 1 & 3-mile walk, a chip-timed 5K run, as well as free food, live entertainment, kids’ activities, Mitchell’s Homemade Ice Cream, and more! Both the Walk and Run begin and end at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame plaza. Registration is required for both events - http:// http://www.diversitycenterneo.org/events/walk-rock-run/. Walkers (Donations Appreciated); Run - $35 through April 30th/$40 after May 1st. Join us at our annual event to celebrate Diversity & Inclusion in northeast Ohio. Donations are accepted and help support our youth programming. Through these programs, we equip students to become leaders and positive change agents in their schools and communities.
