Avoid Skipping Recovery

Listening to your body is key to avoiding injury and burnout. Your body can actually grow stronger when you are at rest. The process of training includes workouts that are strategically placed along with rest days, which provides stimulation during the activity and recovery when you are at rest. If you are new to running, it is important not to push yourself to hard. Injuries can pop up when training advances too quickly. If your body is giving you warning signs, listen and take the extra time off so you can fully adjust and recover to meet your specific fitness needs.

Camp Innabah Fall Classic 5 Miler

A Five Mile Trail Jaunt! Join us for a hilly, trail romp around the beautiful hills and dales of one of PA’s oldest Summer Camps! Course: The five mile course ranges from dirt trails, gravel roads, and a few short paved sections over rolling terrain above the beautiful French Creek in scenic Chester County. All proceeds benefit the summer camping programs and scholarship funds. The walk is a noncompetitive two mile loop on grass trails and gravel roads. The race will begin at 9:00am. Amenities: Back by popular demand: Pancake Breakfast! Coupons to All Kinds of Fast – Phoenixville and North Wales Running Co. Sweet T-Shirt to all pre-registered runners! Awards: M & F 1st 2nd and 3rd Plus Top 3 age group awards to 17 and under 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+ . Registration: Cost: $30 until Sept 15, $35 after and Day of Registration 8-8:45.
