Avoid Skipping Recovery

Listening to your body is key to avoiding injury and burnout. Your body can actually grow stronger when you are at rest. The process of training includes workouts that are strategically placed along with rest days, which provides stimulation during the activity and recovery when you are at rest. If you are new to running, it is important not to push yourself to hard. Injuries can pop up when training advances too quickly. If your body is giving you warning signs, listen and take the extra time off so you can fully adjust and recover to meet your specific fitness needs.

Rotary Trails to Ales

Join us Thursday evening, August 22nd at 6:30pm at Legacy Park for the 2nd Annual Trails to Ales 5K/2K Trail Run! The beautiful and challenging course highlights the well-maintained X-C ski trails within the park. Entry fee is only $25.00 if you pre-register online and $15.00 for those runners under 20. Registration is capped at 700, and prices will go up, so register early! The first 150 to register get a free pint glass and the first 300 to register get a free t-shirt. All runners 21+ will receive free entry into the Craft Beer Garden. We will also have plenty of water, Powerade and ice cream at the finish line as well as real hamburgers and other foods provided by the community. Race Events
Kids Run 1 Mile Run 5K Walk and Run Trail Race 
Runners and have the choice to run either the 5K or the 2K at the fork in the trail.

Great weather, warm but not too warm, and last year was 100% sunny.
