Add some variety to your exercise routine. Run one day and strength train the next. This will not only hold your interest in the workouts longer, but it will give your body the time it needs for recovery. Additionally, you are covering more muscle groups throughout the body and keeping the workouts motivating and different.
To build up endurance for your 5K race include some interval training as part of your regimen. Use hill sessions and up-tempo to your runs to do this. Hold a steady running pace where you do not feel like you are just about to die, but that you can keep going.
Head to the track for shorter interval runs while learning to pace yourself. Learn to conserve your energy during the first part of the race and then to let go in the second half so you can make it to the finish line of you 5K race.

Run an individual run in your own time & pace on one of our professionally designed course or at any destination of your choice. Time yourself and get your results posted online.
We will ship you a cool shirt, a specially designed course map you can run (optional), and a large 2.75" medal to you after you complete your run!
Please note this is a self-coordinated / self-paced training run on your own time (with no setup) but your results can be posted online and for every mile you log, we'll provide incentives to keep you motivated and on your feet!

Please note that this is a SELF-COORDINATED run with no setup, chip-timing, or coordinators on-site. Your time will be self-recorded, submitted, and posted on our website after your run.
If you choose to follow one of our listed routes, please refer to the map which will be listed on our website one week prior to your race. We do not provide GPS tracking or send the map routes to your mobile devices. Please be aware of your own safety during your runs.
Please ensure your all your sign-up and delivery address details listed on your ACTIVE Profile are correct. A $20.00 resend fee will apply if incorrect delivery information is given.
