Set a Date
No matter if it is your first 5K race or your hundredth, when you register for a 5K race it will keep you motivated and on task to reach your goal of running a successful 5K race. By actually setting up a date on your calendar, you pinpoint the time that you have to be ready to step on that starting line of your 5K race.
Prepare a training schedule immediately after booking your 5K race. New runners should begin with light training and build into a longer running routine.
This is a family fun event to create awareness for anyone who was born with a limb difference or knows someone who is! My son was born with Amniotic Band Syndrome and we have become part of the Lucky Fin Project community. We want to be able to show other people that they are not alone and be there to support them! To read more of our story and about the Lucky Fin Project click here ! There will be several different vendors, food, family fun events and so much to do! So even if you don't run, come on out to enjoy the fun! We hope to see you at the race!
The event will be held at Lake Park at 17302 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa on April 18th, 2020. We will start the 5k at 8 am and the 1 mile shortly after. Wear comfortable walking/running clothes as we are in Florida so who knows what the weather will be like in April. Please make sure you have your registration form with you or on your phone so it can make check in run smoothly.
Be on the look out for an email a few weeks prior to the event for packet pick up information!
