Avoid Skipping Recovery

Listening to your body is key to avoiding injury and burnout. Your body can actually grow stronger when you are at rest. The process of training includes workouts that are strategically placed along with rest days, which provides stimulation during the activity and recovery when you are at rest. If you are new to running, it is important not to push yourself to hard. Injuries can pop up when training advances too quickly. If your body is giving you warning signs, listen and take the extra time off so you can fully adjust and recover to meet your specific fitness needs.

All Star XC Camp 2019

All-Star XC Camp is a great summer opportunity to connect with fellow high school and middle school distance runners. Camp offers two training runs and two educational sessions each day (Tuesday - Thursday), and a variety of "team" competitions (i.e. ultimate frisbee, ping pong, euchre, volleyball, basketball) for all campers to participate. This is a fun opportunity to begin or continue training for the fall cross country season and to renew or make new friends in the sport. Registration will close on June 18, 2020 at 11:59 PM EDT. When you register by June 7 (11:59 PM EDT), the cost will be $370.00 for boarders and $320.00 for commuters. After June 7 the costs will change to $400.00 for boarders and $350.00 for commuters.
