Tip Of The Day

Set a Date

No matter if it is your first 5K race or your hundredth, when you register for a 5K race it will keep you motivated and on task to reach your goal of running a successful 5K race. By actually setting up a date on your calendar, you pinpoint the time that you have to be ready to step on that starting line of your 5K race.

Prepare a training schedule immediately after booking your 5K race. New runners should begin with light training and build into a longer running routine.

High School Cross Country & Endurance

Our Endurance Camp is a week- long intensive base-building experience. Our elite and experienced staff will guide all athletes through a 7 day cycle which will maximize their aerobic and mileage base for the upcoming cross country season. Our program integrates distance running with a full array of training modules, including deep water, flexibility and range of motion, full body strength, plyometric and isometric, anaerobic, biomechanical perfection, and nutritional training. Athletes will gain specific and functional knowledge through learn-by-doing classes. All training and instructional sessions are geared to improving the athletes understanding of best practices, which can be utilized throughout their athletic careers. Workloads are designed to specifically match the current fitness level of all campers, and never exceed readiness, always avoiding injury and overuse. All training models are offered, never dictated, thus will not be in conflict with that of the head coaches program. Sessions are always designed to reinforce the expectations of an athletes’ primary coach. Our staff strongly urges all athletes to share the knowledge gained with their coaches, before fully integrating into their plans. All coaches are welcome to visit the camp and participate/view activities. Athletes are also exposed to cutting edge workshops on injury prevention and rehabilitation, mental preparation, goal setting, periodization and peaking, performance fueling and healthy nutrition, college selection and recruitment, cross training, and personal and team leadership. Training facilities include picturesque country roads, wooded trails, challenging terrain, vast open meadows, quality athletic fields, modernized training equipment rooms, Olympic length pool and freshwater lake
