Avoid Skipping Recovery

Listening to your body is key to avoiding injury and burnout. Your body can actually grow stronger when you are at rest. The process of training includes workouts that are strategically placed along with rest days, which provides stimulation during the activity and recovery when you are at rest. If you are new to running, it is important not to push yourself to hard. Injuries can pop up when training advances too quickly. If your body is giving you warning signs, listen and take the extra time off so you can fully adjust and recover to meet your specific fitness needs.

2019 Virtual Holiday Streak - Run, Walk, or Crawl at least ONE mile every day #StreakWithUs. Do you love the holidays, but struggle with keeping those extra pounds off? Or maybe you just want to start your New Year resolutions early by being more active. You have come to right place. By committing to run, walk, or crawl a mile every day, it gets you active and is personally rewarding. But let us reward you too with an event t-shirt, finisher medal, and a digital race bib. Virtual fitness events (such as a run streak or a 5K run/walk), also referred to as virtual races, are becoming increasingly popular in the fitness community. Virtual events allow you to sign up for a race, get all the cool swag, and go at your own pace on your own time at any location in the world. Maybe you have a friend across the country. You both want to complete an event together. Virtual events will allow you to do so without having to be in the same location. You could both simply sign up for a virtual race, participate in the event in your own town (maybe even have fun challenging each other as to who will have a better time) and you both get to show off your swag from the event. Each registered participant will receive a custom digital race bib, custom finisher medal and an event t-shirt. Every week we will draw a random winner to receive an awesome door prize. Each time you check in for the week, you will be entered in to the drawing. Only one check in per day allowed.
