Tip Of The Day

Set a Date

No matter if it is your first 5K race or your hundredth, when you register for a 5K race it will keep you motivated and on task to reach your goal of running a successful 5K race. By actually setting up a date on your calendar, you pinpoint the time that you have to be ready to step on that starting line of your 5K race.

Prepare a training schedule immediately after booking your 5K race. New runners should begin with light training and build into a longer running routine.

2020 Leap Year 2.29 Mile

We are so excited that it’s Leap Year again! Four years ago we did our first Leap Year race and it was a huge hit! We are so excited to be doing it again! Did you know that February 29, Leap Day, is also Rare Disease Day? To help bring awareness we are devoting our Leap Year Race to the National Organization for Rare Diseases. According to their website, “Every day in America, 30 million people wake up to fight the battle with a rare disease. The vast majority are children. For most, there are no cures and few, if any, proven and effective treatments. NORD provides a unified voice for those courageous individuals, and the parents and other caregivers seeking to help them, so that they won’t have to fight that battle alone.”
