Avoid Skipping Recovery

Listening to your body is key to avoiding injury and burnout. Your body can actually grow stronger when you are at rest. The process of training includes workouts that are strategically placed along with rest days, which provides stimulation during the activity and recovery when you are at rest. If you are new to running, it is important not to push yourself to hard. Injuries can pop up when training advances too quickly. If your body is giving you warning signs, listen and take the extra time off so you can fully adjust and recover to meet your specific fitness needs.

Sour Patch 5K

Who's ready for a beer run? Come out & run with us at 8 AM along with Indio Brewing in Sugar Hill for a great course! We'll be starting and finishing by the Eagle Theater and after you cross the finish, Indio Brewing will be ready to provide you (21+) with a complimentary pour of their Sour Patch Brew. Everyone receives an awesome race tee; upgrade to a VIP and receive an second pour AND get a finisher glass well. We're working on trying to get some additional VIP perks! We're getting some great race shirts, and we'll have some amazing awards to the Top 3 M/F, top 3 Master's M/F, and the Top 3 in each of the normal 5 year Age Groups
