Avoid Skipping Recovery

Listening to your body is key to avoiding injury and burnout. Your body can actually grow stronger when you are at rest. The process of training includes workouts that are strategically placed along with rest days, which provides stimulation during the activity and recovery when you are at rest. If you are new to running, it is important not to push yourself to hard. Injuries can pop up when training advances too quickly. If your body is giving you warning signs, listen and take the extra time off so you can fully adjust and recover to meet your specific fitness needs.

Did you know that International Women’s Day takes place on March 8, 2020? We are so excited to celebrate and honor all women, everywhere! No matter who you are, where you live or what you do for a living YOU MATTER and each woman in the world is beautiful and important! Get out and celebrate being a women and/or celebrate all of the amazing women in your life! Plus, we will also be donating 15% of each registration to Dress for Success, an amazing organization who’s mission “is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.” *For a limited time you can purchase an official t-shirt and/or hoodie HERE! What: This is a 1M, 5K, 10K, 13.1, 26.2 virtual run (or walk) to celebrate International Women’s Day! You choose which distance you want to complete! When: Complete your race any time in March, even better if it’s March 8th! *Medals and bibs will start shipping out mid-February. After that they will ship out within 2 to 5 days of signing up. Where: You choose the course and you time yourself (you’ll report your finishing time to us). Why: Because this is our way of celebrating ALL WOMEN AROUND THE WORLD! Cost: The price is $22 and that includes your medal, bib and shipping. Plus, at least 15% of every entry will be donated to Dress for Success *We are in no way affiliated with this charity, we like to choose a different charity for each of our races and are happy to raise funds for them.
