Tip Of The Day

Set a Date

No matter if it is your first 5K race or your hundredth, when you register for a 5K race it will keep you motivated and on task to reach your goal of running a successful 5K race. By actually setting up a date on your calendar, you pinpoint the time that you have to be ready to step on that starting line of your 5K race.

Prepare a training schedule immediately after booking your 5K race. New runners should begin with light training and build into a longer running routine.

Autism Tennessee 5K Run & Pajama Walk

Autism Tennessee is the one door to our autism community. All event proceeds directly benefit the programs of Autism Tennessee, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We are the only local agency that serves as a source of information, referrals, training, advocacy, and support for individuals impacted by Autism, and families of persons with Autism in Middle Tennessee. For the competitive 5K portion of this event, the scenic, yet slightly challenging course (somewhat hilly) is most appropriate for the fitness enthusiast, but is also open to casual runners and walkers (corrals will allow fastest competitive runners to start first). This is a USATF certified, chip-timed course. The noncompetitive Walk portion of this event is appropriate for ALL ages and fitness levels. Registered 5K participants may participate in the Walk at no additional registration fees. Online Registration is available through the day of the event. Race Day Registration Opens: 6:00am CT. 5K race starts at 7:00am CST. Course Difficulty--Moderate (hilly) Historical Event Size--400-500 registrants. For 5K Awards: Overall Men´s, Overall Women´s, Masters, and Grandmasters (3 deep). Additional awards will be presented by age divisions that are ALSO 3-DEEP THIS YEAR. Teams: Participation in either the 5K or Walk as a team in honor of a special individual with Autism is an amazing way to get friends, family members, and neighbors involved.
