No matter if it is your first 5K race or your hundredth, when you register for a 5K race it will keep you motivated and on task to reach your goal of running a successful 5K race. By actually setting up a date on your calendar, you pinpoint the time that you have to be ready to step on that starting line of your 5K race.

Prepare a training schedule immediately after booking your 5K race. New runners should begin with light training and build into a longer running routine.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Trail Half Marathon

We are headed into our sixth year of the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Half Marathon! If you haven’t come out before, you are missing out on gorgeous trails, epic water crossings, hoodies, mega finisher’s medals, bumper stickers, fun prizes, great food and beer! What better way to enjoy a mid-winter day! This will again be race #2 in the Trivium Running Series, and the first event in the Triad Mega Medal Series. This two loop course shows off some of the great trails - including Foxtrot Trail - at Northeast Park. The course has two river crossings ranging from 6 inches deep if there has been very little rain to 2.5 feet deep with a lot of rain (anything over that height and we have an alternate course). At the finish, we will have some great beer and an awesome finishers medal to show off when people ask you "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot were you thinking racing a trail half marathon that crosses a creek at the end of February?!" This race is race number one in the Trivium Medal Series - complete all the races in the series to earn one giant mega medal!
