Avoid Skipping Recovery

Listening to your body is key to avoiding injury and burnout. Your body can actually grow stronger when you are at rest. The process of training includes workouts that are strategically placed along with rest days, which provides stimulation during the activity and recovery when you are at rest. If you are new to running, it is important not to push yourself to hard. Injuries can pop up when training advances too quickly. If your body is giving you warning signs, listen and take the extra time off so you can fully adjust and recover to meet your specific fitness needs.

2020 World Music Day Virtual Race

Music is the universal language of mankind, and to celebrate World Music Day on June 21, we are launching our second annual World Music Day 1 mile , 5K, 10K, 13.1k, and 26.2k virtual races! This year we are honoring the music of the 80s, so get your running shoes, as well as your bright neon clothing, big hair, and rubiks cube, and fill a playlist full of the era’s greatest music hits! Our World Music Day races can be completed anytime in June, even better if on June 21st 1 mile, 5k, 10k, 13.1, and 26.2 virtual runs (or walks) are available to choose from Great for music lovers of all ages We’ll be donating a percentage of registration fees to Songs of Love Registration fee includes an ‘I Love 80s Music” race medal Prince, Bruce ‘The Boss’ Springsteen, Madonna, Run-D.M.C — the 80s was full of great music. We’re excited to honor this great era of tunes with our second annual World Music Day virtual races. Because these are virtual races, you can run (or walk) them anytime and anywhere you want in the month of June. When you finish your race, you’ll get a unique ‘I Love 80s Music” race medal to add to your collection. What’s more, we’ll be donating a portion of race registration fees to Songs of Love, a nation-wide nonprofit that creates free, personalized, original songs to uplift children and teens currently facing tough medical, physical, or emotional challenges. Registration Fee: $22 (includes a medal, bib, and shipping) Medals and bibs will begin shipping out mid-May 2020
