This race is unique in that 100% of all net proceeds go to the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center (UMGCC). UMGCC is making a difference in the lives of those affected by cancer. As an NCI designated cancer center, it ranks in the top tier of centers nationwide for cancer research and patient care. The cancer center is listed among the top 25 cancer programs nationally according to U.S. News & World Report’s America’s Best Hospitals. The Maryland Half Marathon has raised $750,000 for the Greenebaum Cancer Center in its first three years. Our goal is to reach $1 million in 2012 and you can help!
